Join professional manga artist Kutsuwada Chie for a day long practical introduction to drawing Japanese manga.

Ticket price includes refreshments, materials as well as entry to the Citi exhibition Manga throughout the day.

Kutsuwada Chie was born in Japan. After graduating from Royal College of Art, she is now based in Brighton working as a professional manga artist. She attends regular manga-related events and runs manga workshops at various institutions around the UK such as the British Museum and the Victoria & Albert Museum.

She usually creates her own original stories as well as illustrations like King of a Miniature Garden (2007), her first manga, and Moonlight, which was shortlisted in the Manga Jiman competition organised by the UK Japan Embassy. She also produced artwork for Shakespeare’s As You Like It (SelfMadeHero), Hagakure (Kodansha) and others.
