3D models of the gods of the Parthenon frieze
3D models of the Olympian gods
Please note: the 3D models are not currently on display.
The Olympian gods, originally carved in low relief in the east frieze of the Parthenon, can be seen here transformed into three-dimensional models as part of a research project by colleagues at the Tokyo University of the Arts.
The project team was led by Toshihiro Osada and Rui Nakamura, and the models were principally made by Ryo Kimoto and Kota Kato.
This is the latest episode in a 20 year long collaboration between Tokyo and London.
