German Egyptologist. Son of Dr Erich Cassirer (q.v.). Left Berlin 1937; had a degree in Egyptology; studied theology and Oriental subjects at St Peter's College Oxford (matriculated 1942; MA 1949; B.Litt. 1951). Inherited his father's art gallery in London. Held a student room ticket to the Dept of Western Asiatic Antiquities 8-15 February 1952. In later life he became an author of several works on paranormal subjects. Died alone in London at the age of 83.
