Clockmaker and chronometer maker, granted Royal warrant in 1854. Son of William James Frodsham (q.v.). Clockmakers' Company 1845-1871, Master 1855 & 1862. In 1843 Charles Frodsham purchased the business of the late John Roger Arnold and the company was known as Arnold and Frodsham (q.v.). From 1858 the name reverted to Charles Frodsham, continuing until 1885 when it became Charles Frodsham & Company. In 1894 it became finally Charles Frodsham & Company Ltd.
