Biography

Clock and watch maker, working in London, a member of the joiners company until 1767 at which time he emigrated to St. Petersburg where he became clock and watch maker to the imperial court. From 1800 he was a member of the Royal Society of Art in London, he was a member of the St. petersburg Academy of Science and an honorary member of Moscow University.
