Biography

Leonard Buckland (d. 1963) and Edgar Ernest (d. 1964), sons of Alfred Ernest Bluett. 1919 founder members of the British Antique Dealers’ Association. Brothers were in close contact with the Oriental Ceramic Society through A. L. Hetherington (q.v.).
Roger Bluett (1925-2000), Leonard’s son, President of BADA in mid 1970s, Chairman of the Grosvenor House Antiques, first Chairman of the ceramics course at West Dean and first Chairman of the Museum of East Asian Art, Bath.
Dealers in Oriental and other antiquities; advertising states "By appointment Antiquaries of Chinese Works of Art to H.M. the King of Sweden" (May 1970).
