Gardener of a nursery at Kensington, provided the specimens for, and jointly backed, the successful series of plates after Peter Casteels (q.v.) 'The Twelve Months of Flowers' (1730) and '... Fruits' (1733) Trade card in Banks Collection (Banks,64.3+) advertises "81 Different Fruits as they Appear in their Beauty in June, July and August, from Mr. Furbers Collection useful for Carvers Painters Japaners &c. also for Ladies as patterns for working or Painting in Water Colours." The advertisement lettering is inside an illustration of "The Arms of the Earl of Thanet".
