Court historian, astronomer, mathematician, and cartographer to Emperor Maximilian, studied in Ingolstadt, taught mathematics, moved to Vienna in 1502, stayed several times in Nuremberg, befriended amongst others Conrad Celtis and Albrecht Dürer.
