Chronometer, clockmaker and watchmaker, Clockmakers' Company 1781 - 1811. Finest watches signed James McCabe, second quality McCabe, lowest quality Beatson. Born in Lurgan, Ireland, (son of Patrick McCabe) moved to Belfast then to London in 1775. Clockmakers Company 1781 - 1811. Succeeded by his sons and the business continued until 1883.
