Character from the Shāhnāmeh of Firdausī, written c. 1000AD; In the Shahnameh, is the son of Zal, an albino warrior and king of Zabulistan, and Rudaba, a princess of Kabul; Completes many heroic tasks, such as the taming of the legendary stallion, Rakhsh, and the defeat of the White Demon (Div-e Sepid); Wears a coat called the Babr-e Bayan, said to be made from the skin of a leopard and invincible.
