Engraver and publisher. Younger brother of François I who trained him. Visited England with Dubosc where worked for several years; engraved a portrait of George I after Kneller. After his brother's death stopped engraving in favour of publishing.
His successor at the Coq was a publisher named Charpentier (see sv 1996,0929.1)
