Interior decorator and antiquarian; author of several essays on the history of wallpaper and of London. In 1880, sold the Museum the collection of London topography put together by his father Frederick Crace (q.v.) and continued by himself. The collection had previously been on display (in part) in South Kensington (where it is described in a separately puiblished catalogue of 1879 (25pp), and by Edward Walford, 'Londoniana', I 1879, pp.274-96). The section of maps has since been transferred to the Map Room of the British Library.
