Biography

Etcher, watercolourist and teacher. Born in.Derby. Trained at the Royal College of Art, 1924-28, where his fellow students included Charles Tunnicliffe, Charles Mahoney (q.q.v.). Produced a series of etchings of London scenes dated c.1926-7. Taught in Ashton-under-Lyme, near Manchester. Laterly lived and died in Bath. An exhibition of recently discovered prints was held at Bath Artists Studio in 2013: Dixon and Colleagues- 20th century printmaking.
