Name sometimes spelled Greatbatch, but Greatbach was usual. Line engraver and illustrator, worked in London from 1820, engraved plates after old masters for popular almanacks; the PSA listed some of his works. Brother of engraver George Greatbach, he was born in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, and died in London.
A separate portfolio of his engravings is not yet entered on the database (kept at Blythe House).
Also published some prints, occasionally as 'Messrs Greatbach', presumably in collaboration with his brother
