Watercolourist, painter and bookplate designer; poet; seems to have had a penchant for aliases. Editor and publisher of the avant-garde journal 'Ray' 1926-27, contributed modernist drawings to European avant-garde journals. As a bookplate artist he worked as a partner of Herbert Wauthier in Osborne & Co. Secretary and Treasurer of the English Bookplate Society and succeeded James Guthrie as editor of 'The Bookplate'.
