Topographical draughtsman and engraver; often published his own prints; not clear whether he was born in Ireland and was taught there by his master, John Melchior Barralet, a Huguenot from Dublin, or in London where Barralet taught from the 1770s. Became a member of the New Watercolour Society in 1834.
