John Malcolm of Poltalloch (collector; British; Male; 1805 - 1893)

Fourteenth laird of Poltalloch in Argyll. Collector of old master drawings and prints, and much else. His collection of prints and drawings was sold to the BM by his son John Wingfield Malcolm (q.v.) in 1895 for £25,000. See Colvin's report to the Trustees dated 6 June 1895, where he valued the drawings at at least £25,000 and the prints at no less than £15,000.
