Draughtsman, engraver and designer of woodcuts active in north Italy, who signs plates with monogram with a bird (dove). First identified in 1932 by James Byam Shaw with Jacopo Ripanda, and then in 1936 by Augusto Campana with Palumba. The latter now accepted as supported by documentary evidence in a Vatican manuscript (see Hind).
