Dealer, initially working in books, moved to 'L'Art' in 1880, and set up his own firm in 1883. Began specialising in posters in 1886, and published his first catalogue of them in 1891. Also published numerous original prints by contemporary French artists.
His daughter married Maurice Le Garrec, and firm became Sagot-Le Garrec.
