About Online Research Catalogues
British Museum researchers have created a series of free Online Research Catalogues.
They combine peer-reviewed introductory essays with carefully selected groups of object records generated from the Museum's Collection online database. The aim of these catalogues is to provide the widest possible access to new research on collections of objects as the records are automatically updated when new information becomes available.
The subjects of these catalogues are diverse, ranging from the material culture associated with the site of Naukratis in the Egyptian Nile Delta to the Museum's collection of Rembrandt drawings. Other subjects include the Museum's collections of Russian icons, Roman Republican coins and African gold-weights.
