- There is an impression of the green tone plate on the verso of this print.
This is an early impression from the only state, printed before the Richter edition of 1920.
There are six preparatory drawings (Nagel 213-218) for this composition. This was the first printed version, dated 1902. A later version, an etching from 1906, is a reversal of this composition (Klipstein 95; see 1949-4-11-3929).
