  • Description

    Pilgrim-badge; mould made; lead alloy. Rectangular badge with central image of St Peter on the right holding a key and St Paul on the left holding a sword. In between the two saints is a cross which is held by St Peter. There is a legend inscribed in a border around the image: + SIGNA APOSTOLORUM PETERI ET PAUL. There would also have once undoubtedly have been four integrated hoops at the corners of the badge which have since broken off.
