Small bowl, designed to double as a lid. Earthenware covered with a presumed tin-glaze. Painted decoration, a landscape with a man (Apollo?) pursuing a woman being concealed in a cloud by Diana, above is Cupid and to the right a river-god. Within the centre an armorial device: a skull and cross-bones surmounted by an owl and the motto "christiani maximum".
