  • Curator's comments

Cousin's painting is in the Louvre, and is of c.1585. The engraving was made in 1615. This is a later reissue by the Drevet family. The 12 plates are listed in the 1739 inventaire after the death of Pierre Imbert Drevet valued at 200 livres. See BSHAF for 1938, p.239, and Mariette's Abecedario, III p.8 for the information that Pierre Drevet retouched the plates.
