  • Curator's comments

    Drawing no. 98 in Strange's catalogue of his collection of paintings and drawings after paintings ('A Descriptive Catalogue of a Collection of Paintings... ', London, 1769) in which he offers the engraving at 10s.6d.
    It is a companion to Le Blanc no. 1 (Abraham giving up the hand-maid Hagar).
