  • Curator's comments

    This is the title-page to a series of fifty-one numbered plates (by several engravers) with scenes of Jesus Christ after Maarten de Vos; first published in Antwerp by Adriaen Collaert; several times republished until 1783. For other prints of this series see 1874,0711.757-760 and 1989,U.890-891 and 1926,1130.14. A complete bound set in the BM 157*a.27.
