See Dodgson in BMQ I 1926, p.49, for a note on the acquisition of this unique impression of the first state showing St Paul's before the Great Fire of 1666. It is nevertheless an uneven impression, with signs of damage to the plates before printing. The second state has alterations, not by Hollar, that can be dated after the completion of the new St Paul's in 1697.
A 'Prospect of London & Westminster from the South' is listed in John Bowles and Son's catalogue for 1753. It was also published by Laurie & Whittle.
There is a related drawing in the BM (1935-6-8-3; ECM 6).

Christopher Raven has pointed out (personal communication, March 2015) that the tomb in the churchyard of St Mary's Lambeth appears to be that of John Tradescant the younger which was not commissioned until after his death in 1662. If that is the case the print must date from between 1662 and 1666.
