  • Curator's comments

The two sheets are on two different mounts. Modern impression. The calendar was constructed for the years 1439-69 by Johann von Gemünd, but Schreiber states, the block was probably cut between 1470 and 1475. It is a copy after the blockbook-edition of Gemünd's almanac, with slight variations (cf. Schreiber's Manuel de la gravure sur bois et sur métal au XVe siècle, vol. IV, Leipzig 1902, pp.403-5)
