Join us for an unforgettable night at the British Museum!
Get closer to history and experience the Museum after dark with Young Friends Sleepovers. Each sleepover has a unique historical theme and you'll have the opportunity to take part in workshops, activities and storytelling designed to bring the past to life.
After an action-packed evening, you'll spend the night sleeping in the Egyptian, Assyrian and Greek galleries, surrounded by kings and gods from these ancient worlds. In the morning, you'll have breakfast and the chance to undertake an exclusive gallery trail before the Museum opens to the public.
If you're not able to visit us on-site, you can also recreate the magic of the British Museum in your own home with our Stay-at-home sleepovers, featuring a range of exciting activities and crafts exclusively for Young Friends.

The Silk Roads sleepover

Experience the Museum after dark and discover a world of desert dunes, tenacious traders and splendid silks and spices.
Through storytelling, craft and workshops, you'll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in an incredible journey across the Silk Roads.
After an action-packed evening, you'll spend the night sleeping in the Egyptian, Assyrian and Greek galleries, surrounded by kings and gods from the ancient world.
Join us in the morning for breakfast and the chance to undertake an exclusive trail across our new exhibition Silk Roads (26 September 2024 – 23 February 2025).
