The Members' Room is open and we look forward to welcoming you back.
We've made a number of changes to ensure your visit is safe and comfortable, including:
- Reduced capacity to facilitate physical distancing
- Enhanced cleaning measures
- Using contactless payment when possible, although cash will still be accepted
Under current regulations relating to NHS Test and Trace, the British Museum is required to ask every visitor aged 16 and over to provide their contact details. Please see our Test and Trace procedure for more information.
Although we urge all of our visitors to participate in Test and Trace, this is not a precondition of entry to the Museum. However, it's a legal requirement that we collect Test and Trace contact details for any visitor wishing to use our café and restaurant seating areas, which includes the Members' Room.
Please follow government guidance and visit in groups of no more than six people or a group of two households. We ask that you maintain social distancing between people you do not live with.
