Following the latest government advice, the Museum is temporarily closed. We've suspended booking for the Citi exhibition Arctic: culture and climate while we establish reopening plans. Unfortunately, Tantra: enlightenment to revolution will not reopen. Please see our Members' Tantra page for more information and a range of content from the exhibition, including a curator's tour.

While we're closed, Members can still engage with the Museum and its collection. Please visit Members' exclusive content for online events, curator videos and access to the British Museum Magazine digital archive.

In 2021 Members can look forward to exhibitions on the murder of Thomas Becket, the infamous emperor Nero and Ancient Peru.

Read the Membership FAQs page for any queries about the closure, or contact us at friends@britishmuseum.org.

We hope to see you soon.
