Explore printmaking in the United States of America during one of the most dynamic and turbulent periods in the country's history.

Beginning with pop art in the 1960s, The American Dream: pop to the present demonstrates the extraordinary creativity of printmakers over the past six decades. It features some of the country's most celebrated artists including Andy Warhol, Jasper Johns, Ed Ruscha, Louise Bourgeois, Kara Walker and Julie Mehretu.

Spanning events such as the assassination of President John F Kennedy, the Apollo 11 launch, the war in Vietnam and the AIDS crisis, and exploring issues such as racism and gender inequality, discover how artists responded to the world around them by producing prints of unprecedented scale and ambition.
