Journey through the extraordinary cultures of China and South Asia in this special guided tour, before the galleries open to the public.
In the Sir Joseph Hotung Gallery of China and South Asia (Room 33) you will gain an insight into the development of these civilisations, from 5000 BC to the present day, in this beautifully refurbished space recently re-opened by Her Majesty The Queen.
From iconic Ming dynasty blue-and-white porcelain to superb Buddhist and Hindu sculptures – even Ravi Shankar's famous sitar – this introductory tour will give you a deep appreciation for the magnificent objects on display.
