From Antigone and Athena to Boudica and Cleopatra, stories of powerful women pervade the classical world, both mythically and historically. But who was telling their stories and to what end?

At a special event to celebrate Women’s History Month 2020, join acclaimed classicists Bettany Hughes, Natalie Haynes, Edith Hall as well as mythologist Seema Anand, as they uncover the great heroines of the classical world and the historical forces that shaped them.

Presented in collaboration with the British School in Athens.
