Treatment; 11/1965; Lab number 44

Description: Date not recorded - Soaking in 2- Propanone to remove cellulose coat Date not recorded - Mould 5 May 1959 - Soaking in Sodium Sesquicarbonate 23/3/1960 - Sesqui treatment complete free from CC 11/10/1961 - No idea when it went back in. S.Sesqui solution changed 1/11/1961 - Emptied for the move 10/11/1961 - Refilled with sodium sesquicarbonate. 5/4/1962 - Tested for CC. Positive. Solutuion changed 1/8/1962 - Tested for CC. Positive. Solutuion changed 4/10/1962 - Taken out and dried. Lacquered with Ercalene RW (2021) - The following could relate to 1880,1216.20, 1880,1216.21 or 1880,1216.23. They share the same old work card the labelling is unclear: Nov 1965 - Ercalene removed with acetone. Found B 1/2 arm was now missing, so a ____ was made out of plaxiglass and fixed on with "gumfix" and araldite (epoxy). Painted with powder colours and dilute gumfix. Waxed with paraffin wax. melting point 49C. Taken back to depatrment. Treatment by: PJ Smith Unidentifiable signature H Williams M McGregor
