Reason: Loan
Description: Drawing lifted from album page using Gore-Tex and damp blotter strips. Glue very thick and tenacious so humidification took a minimum of 6 hours and the lifting process was carried out over two days. (Some skinning of album page was unavoidable in order to safely remove drawing). Thick, discoloured adhesive residue removed from edges of verso using a poultice of methyl cellulose and cotton wool swabs moistened with warm tap water. Minor edge tears and weak areas repaired/supported using Japanese tissue and wheat starch paste. Humidified over Gore-Tex and damp blotter in a chamber. Pressed.
