Biography: Print publisher and seller. Trade cards in Heal and Banks Collections. Heal,100.15 advertises "Alexr. Beugo 'Maiden Lane' A collection of fine specimens of Portraits, Topography, History, Ornaments, Etchings, line Engraving, &c. &c. at reasonable prices." Heal's annotations on mount: "Compare trade card s/s at 38 Maiden Lane & also caricature in A.H.'s Portrait Collection." Trade cards Heal,100.16, Banks,100.36, D,2.2334, D,2.3435 & D,2.3436 advertise "A. Beugo, Printseller, 38, Maiden Lane, Covt. Garden. An Extensive Arranged Collection From Eminent Masters. A liberal Abatement from Selections." Several artists, including Durer and Woollett, are named on the card. Heal's annotations on mount: "Fl.1814. .. London Directory 1827 gives: - Alex. Beugo, fishmonger (!) at 38 Maiden Lane, Covent Garden."
