Biography: Watchmaker. Founded firm named Paul Ditisheim in 1892 which was known for making high quality watches. He was also important in the research into the application of invar and elinvar in balance-springs for watches and in the research and production of fine oils for use in watches. Solvil was a trade name used for Ditisheim watches.
