Biography: Athenian black-figure vase-painter whose name is unknown. Nevertheless consistent individual characteristics of style suggest the existence of a unique artistic personality. Beazley called him the Painter of London B470, naimg him after a kyathos (a fairly unusual delicate cup/dipper with a single, high vertical handle) in the British Museum. Only one other vase is known from his hand.
