- Biography
- Painter and printmaker; born 16 April 1936 Brisbane, Queensland; trained at Central Technical College, Brisbane, 1955-61; began as a landscape painter inspired by the animals and scenery of his farm in Queensland and went on to produce visionary landscapes of the Australian bush described as 'creation landscapes' in which multiple perspectives are combined to induce a sense of the viewer walking through the landscape; retrospective held at Queensland Art Gallery, Brisbane in 2001 and a subsequent touring show entitled 'The Revelation of Landscape' in 2003; from 1967 had many solo shows with Ray Hughes, Brisbane and Sydney; Australian Galleries, Sydney and Melbourne; and Philip Bacon, Brisbane; lived and worked in Queensland.
