- Biography
- Painter, printmaker and teacher; born in Lisbon, Portugal; studied at the Slade School of Fine Art, 1952-6; lived in Portugal 1957-63 with her husband, the painter, Victor Willing; settled permanently in London in 1976; exhibited in many group exhibitions in Britain and abroad; retrospective at the Gulbenkian Foundation, Lisbon, and at the Serpentine Gallery, London, 1988; first associate artist at the National Gallery with an accompanying exhibition,1991-2, 'Tales from the National Gallery'; 2001 - exhibited at Marlborough Fine Art, Tate Britain in 2004 and Northumbria University Gallery, Newcastle on Tyne, 2006. Her work is held in many public collections including: the Arts Council, British Council and the Tate Gallery.
