Biography: Family firm which passed through several generations, of dealers in prints, drawings, paintings from the same address in Spur Street and apparently under the same name T H Parker. Another T H Parker wrote the standard catalogue of prints of naval interest. In 1873 the firm was run by W S H Parker; another T H Parker was later, working between the two World Wars. Two similar trade cards in Heal Collection (Heal,100.58 and 59), and one in Banks Collection (Banks,96.9) advertise "T.H. Parker Dealer in Paintings, Drawings and Prints." Heal,100.59 gives the address of No.7 Spur Street and has Heal's annotations on mount: "1843. The copper-plate now in the possession Messrs. Parker, printsellers, Berkeley Square, bears the signature of 'F. Bartolozzi sculpt.' A very similar card in A.H. collection of John Marchant, printseller, 28 Frith St."
