- Print publisher, especially of historical, literary, marine and sporting subjects, and prints after Bunbury. Habitually purchased plates from original publishers. Notice of his death in Hendon in Gentleman's Magazine 22 December 1811. Posthumous sale of his stock, King and Lochee, 26.vi.1812 and three following days. (Sc.A.2.7/4).
May be identical with John Harris, printseller, of 26 Little Bell Alley, Coleman Street, London, whose 1777 Sun Fire Insurance Policy 405232 (268) is Guildhall MS 11936.
