- Biography
- Engraver, etcher and printer; erroneously called James Girtin on the title page of 'Seventy-five portraits of celebrated painters' (1817) and subsequently, but Greg Smith has shown that his name was actually John. Brother of Thomas, whose series of Parisian views he published. Stock burnt in fire in Broad Street, November 1816. No trace after 1820.
