- Biography
- Landscape painter and watercolourist, etcher born at Deritend (Birmingham); apprenticed to Albert Fiedler, a miniature painter, taught drawing in Dulwich and Hereford. Began making soft-ground etchings on copper from original drawings in 1812; a large collection of his work is in the Birmingham City Museum.
