- Reproductive stipple engraver, pupil of Robert Thew (q.v.); worked in London and Paris.
It is possible that 'H. Cook' and 'H Cooke' are other engravers, possibly related. The three are put together for the present, pending further clarification.
The addresses of 'Henry Cook' lettered on an undated print 1873,0712.1142 differ from the address of 'H R Cook' lettered on the prints K,58.21 and K,58.187 published in 1813. Although 1873,0712.1142 is undated, the age of the sitter suggests that the print was probably made between 1810-1815, in which case 'H Cook' and Henry Richard Cook were probably different engravers.
