Biography: Two trade cards and a bill-head in Heal Collection. Heal,96.13 advertises "Miers, Goldsmith, Engraver, Miniature Frame Maker, Profilist &c. by Appointment to the Queen... Miniatures Correctly Copied. Mourning Orders executed. Miniature Profiles for Bracelets, Broaches [sic], Rings, &c. as accurately as the larger Sizes. Time of Sitting Five Minutes. W. Miers has preserved all the Original Profiles for nearly half a Century, and can supply Copies of every size Without The Necessity of Sitting Again. An extensive stock of Ormoulu Miniature Frames..." Heal,96.12 advertises "Miers, Copper Plate & Seal Engraver... Miniature Frames..." Heal,96.11 is a bill-head stating "Bought of William Miers, Profilist, Jeweller, Engraver, and Manufacturer of Or Moulu Miniature Frames and Morocco Cases..." Presumably the 'Miers' in 'Miers & Field' (appears on a silhouette portrait of Joseph Cradock, dated 1827) is the same person.
