- Born Rochdale, businessman. Travelled extensively witih his wife Ellen Gladys Valetto Booth (born c.1878, Ballarat, Australia and originally named Bluebell Staples), visiting South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, South America, Japan, Java, USA and other places. Visited Hawaii 1931.
Collection of photographs from Oceania and Asia belonging to Booth, consisting of 6 albums, three in Oceania and three in Asia, and a number of loose prints. It is presumed that he photographed them.These photographs appear to have been produced between 1931-1937.
London Gazette 22 October 1948 notes the passing of John March Booth of 31 Thames Eyot, Twickenham on 9 August 1947; described as a retired leather currier.
