- Artist, born Diyala, Bohrez, Iraq, 1959. Studied fine arts at the Ecole Nationale des Beaux Arts, Algeria, 1978-1980, and at the Institute of Fine Arts, Moscow, Russia, 1983-4; obtained an MA in fine arts, mural painting and decorative arts from the Leningrad V. Mukhina College of Arts and Design, 1989. Won the annual Nottingham Castle Open Art Exhibition (2003) followed by a solo exhibition, Nottingham Castle Museum and Art Gallery, 2004. Work includes paintings and drawings as well as mural paintings. Based in Leceister, UK.
