- Also known as
primary name: Blackburne, Jonathan
- individual; collector; British; Male
- Life dates
- Liverpool print collector, son of a father of the same name who died in the same year (1694-1786, for whom see ODNB). His collection was sold in 1786 in London (Hutchins, March 20 and 12 following days). Cracherode bought many of the prints either at the sale or subsequently. The catalogues of his sales (Hutchins, 20 March and 4 April 1786) survive (copy in P&D, Sc.A.1.27). Prints from his collection can be recognised from the notes written on verso in pencil: the date is of acquisition, the initials are of the vendor, and the following number seems to be of Blackburne's personal listing of what he bought at that time.
